Almost half of Holladay's homes were built in the 1950s and 1960s. The city's general plan points to the uniform ranch-style homes of the post-war housing boom. Where one of those homes has a straight flight between the main floor and a lower level, that flight can take its own lift, and a staircase with a landing can take one lift on each flight instead.

Measuring Each Staircase First
Across Holladay, from Lakewood and Olympus Hills to Knudsen's Corner, staircases differ in length, width, and angle, and those three numbers decide which lift fits. So before recommending a model we measure all of them. A long stair down to a lower level is checked against each model's rail limit, and a narrow one against the width the seat needs to swivel at the top.

It can, with a lift suited to those stairs. The Harmar SL600 stair lift takes a rail up to 70 feet long, and the SL300 reaches 36 feet. The heavy-duty model reaches 40 feet.
Usually very little. The seat, armrests, and footrest on Harmar's straight lifts fold up when the lift is not in use, and Harmar attaches its straight rails to a few of the steps and sets them away from the wall.
Each straight flight takes its own lift, so a staircase with a landing or a second staircase gets a lift on every flight. Stairs that turn can also take a curved rail lift instead.
Sometimes. It depends on whether your lift and its rail suit the staircase in the next home. Where they do, we can reinstall the lift there. If the next home does not need it, removing the stair lift clears it from this one.
